Meet the Founder & CEO
cassie Garrett
Growing up surrounded by self-doers and small business owners, Cassie was shaped by the hard work and dedication that she witnessed all around her. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, majoring in accounting, and over 10 years of experience working alongside small businesses and accounting teams, Cassie founded Upscale Bookkeeping to help business owners systemize and scale their businesses while maintaining their sanity.
Cassie has always loved being the one that dreamers, entrepreneurs, and idealists lean on when they want to go from vision to reality. She is obsessed with seeing the underdog win and has a knack for being the one that can help entrepreneurs go from idea to achievement.
Cassie’s passions, outside of supporting entrepreneurs and managing her own small businesses, lie in connecting with friends and family, tending to her property and animals, and above all else, being a mom. She wants to show her daughters what is possible as a woman – that we don’t have to choose between being a present mother or providing financially for our family, we are capable of doing both.

Account Manager
erin Verhelst
As a mom and a business owner herself, our Account Manager, Erin, understands the need for balance in your personal and professional life. It was this understanding that motivated her to obtain her bookkeeping technician certificate in 2021 and begin working with Upscale Bookkeeping. Erin is the person that steps into your business to help, and you’ll never want to let her go. Once you’ve had her work on your file, you will do everything that you can to keep her. She is kind, patient, methodical, and extremely smart. She will communicate clearly, hit those deadlines, and care just as much about the success and reputation of your business as you do.
Bookkeeper
Laura Kuhlen
From running your payroll to entering the bills and making the payments, Laura helps to keep your business finances organized and employees happy. Laura is another graduate of Okanagan College, and brings with her many years’ experience working as a payroll administrator and on accounting teams.
When she isn’t crunching those numbers, Laura can be found camping with her family or at her daughter’s softball tournaments. She values her time with family and takes pride in helping our clients to do the same, by handling the tedious data entry so that they don’t have to.
Junior Bookkeeper
Katherine Redgrove
As our newest team member, Katherine brings with her many years of experience working as an office administrator for a non-profit. She is extremely organized, tech-savvy, and a great communicator. She has recently completed her Bookkeeping Technician Certificate at Okanagan College and is eager to train with the Upscale team and connect with small business owners.
She has quickly become a key player as Upscale’s first full-time employee, and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of her growth!
